WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Salt Lake County and Salt Lake
City that janitorial services for the City I County Building could be
performed in a more uniform fashion under the direction of one governmental
leadership; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City and the County to eliminate
duplication of services by entering into a Interlocal Cooperation Agreement
whereby the County will assume governmental leadership and be responsible
for the consolidated janitorial and building engineering services for the
City I County Building; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the Interlocal Cooperation Act of the
State of Utah, Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County have the authority to
enter into such an agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County
to enter into an agreement for such consolidated services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah, as follows:
Salt Lake City does hereby endorse and accept the agreement between
Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County for janitorial and building engineer's
services for the Salt Lake City I County Building, subject to the terms and
conditions of said agreement. Mayor Ted L. Wilson is hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to execute the agreement on behalf of Salt Lake City
Corporation.
