Shearman -- We& Mr.Chairman . —j— Result RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. THREE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: That the public interest and convenience require, and it is the intention of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City to order the following improvement to be made in said City, namely: That there shell be established in said City under the authority and provisions of Chapter 96 of the Laws of Utah of 1915 a lighting district to be known as Lighting Distriot No. Three, which shall comprise the following street, to-wit: Exchange Place from the east side of Main Street to the west side of State Street, and the lots, pieces and subdivisions of ground fronting on said street and within said limits shall be assessed according to the benefits received from said improvement to pay the costs and expenses thereof; said lighting district shall be improved by the erection and maintenanoe of six four-ampere luminous aro lamps along eaoh side of said street, on appropriate standards, one light on each standard, new standards to be fur- nished, except that the two standards in front of what is known as the Boston Block, and the two standards in front of what is known as the Newhouse Block, shall be used for such purpose; that said standards except the four standards above mentioned, and beginning on the south side of Exchange Place at the property line next State Street thence west, shall be about one hundred an. twenty-five feet apart, and on the north side of said Exchange Place beginning about eighty feet west of the property line at State Street, shall be about one hundred and twenty-five feet apart; the lamps is aforesaid, being twelve in number, to be supplied with electric current for the illumination of the same until twelve o'clock, midnight. The circuits for the operation of said system of lamps shall be underground. The said improve- -1 ment shall be maintained for the period of three years. The said proposed improvement is hereby referred to the City Zngineer of Salt Lake City, and he is hereby directed to make and file with the City Recorder a report in writing oontaining the following particulars: 1. Plans and speoifioations for the work required for said improvement. 2. An estimate of the cost of said improvement and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith. 3. A diagram showing the said proposed improvement district aid the boundaries and dimensions of the respective lots, parcels or subdivisions of land therein, each of which subdivisions shall be given a separate number in red ink upon said diagram. 4. A proposed assessment of the total amount of the costs and expenses of the proposed improvement upon the several subdivi- sions of land in said district in proportion to the estimated benefit to be reoeived by such subdivisions repseotively, from said improvement. Said proposed assessment shall refer to euoh subdivisions upon said diagram by the respective red ink numbers thereon, and shall show the names of the owners thereof, if known, otherwise designating them as unknown.
