PRrorted to the Board Gommissioners AND PASSED i'.1AY 2 4 19,32 ,/• oyrirRuouitotia Finch Mr." I move that the resolution be adopte Keyser Knight / Lake �!{ Mr.Chairman - - - Result RESOLUTION WHEREAS, on January 28, 1932, the Board of Commissioners by resolution authorized the borrowing of $1,000,000.00 and the is- suance of sixty (60) bonds representative thereof, said bondsnumbered fifty-three (53) and fifty-four (54) being in the denomination of $5,000.00 each; and WHEREAS, said bonds numbered fifty-three (53) and fifty- four (54) have not been sold and are on hand in the possession of the City Treasurer; and WHEREAS, it is the desire and intention of the Board of Com- missioners to retire and cancel said bonds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that bonds numbered fifty-three (53) and fifty-four (54), bearing interest at the rate of six per cent per annum of the Series of January 15, 1932, payable January 15, 1933, be and the same hereby are cancelled and retired and the City Treasurer is hereby directed to destroy said bonds by cremation in the presence of the Board of Commissioners and report in writing his action with re- ference to their destruction. It is necessary in the opinion of the Board of Commissioners for the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, Utah, that this resolution take effect upon its passage.
