Result
WHEREAS, BRIGHAM F. GRANT, a resident of
Salt Lake City, Utah and a prominent member of the community
for many years, departed this life August 30th, 1936, in
Los Angeles, California, and
WHEREAS, it is fitting that the Board of Com-
missioners of Salt Lake City should, at this time, record
its appreciation of the splendid character and worth of
-'4-r.Grant who served this City well as its Chief of Police
for four years, and
WHEREAS, Mr.Grant served Salt Lake City as
its Chief of Police for the years 1912 to 1915, both inclus-
ive, and proved himself to be a splendid gentleman, honest
and straight-forward and a worthy head of the Police Department.
His passing is a deep sorrow to the Board of Commissioners and
to the citizens of Salt Lake.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board
of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby express its
high appreciation of the fine character of Mr. Grant.
It shares in the sorrow of his passing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution
be spread upon the minutes of this gee ing.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah,this 2d day of September, A.D. 1936
