BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: That the public interest and convenience require, and that it is the intention of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City to order the following improvement to be made in said City, namely: That there shall be maintained in said City under the authority and provisions of Chapter 15, Compiled Laws of Utah, 1917, a lighting district heretofore established and known as Lighting District No. One, which shall comprise the following Streets: The south side of South Temple Street between West Temple Street and Main Street, both sides of South Temple Street between Main Street and State Street, both sides of State Street between South Temple Street and Fourth South Street, both sides of First South Street between West Temple Street and Second East Street, both sides of Second South Street between West Temple Street and Second East Street, both sides of Third South Street between West Temple Street abd Second East Street, and both sides of Fourth South Street between West Temple Street and Main Street; and the lots, pieces and subdivisions of ground fronting and abutting on said streets within said limits shall be assessed according to the benefits received from said improvement to pay the costs and expenses thereof; said improvement shall consist of the maintenance of seven four-ampere luminous arc lamps alon;. each side of said streets in each block in said district upon the standards heretofore erected, which said lamps shall be -1- supplied with electric current for the illumination of the same all night every night under a schedule of hours appropriate to • the seasons. Said Lighting District shall be maintained for a period of three years from April 26, 1919 to April 26, 1922. Said improvement is hereby referred to the City Engineerof said City, and he is hereby directed to make and file with the I I City Recorder a report in writing containing the following particulars: 1. Plans and specifications for the work required for 4 said improvement; 2 An estimate of the cost of said improvement and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith. 3. A diagram showing the said proposed improvement szt district and the boundaries and dimensions of the respective lots, parcels or subdivisions of land therein. 4. A proposed assessment of the total amount of the costs and expenses of the proposed improvement upon the several sub- divisions of land in said district in proportion to the estimatOd benefit to be received by such subdivisions from such improve ment.
