RESOLUTION
Result
WHEREAS, it is with genuine regret that
circumstances ha'e precipitated the resignation of William
L. Payne from the position of Chief of Police of Salt Lake
City, and
WHEREAS, it is to his lasting credit that
the Police Department today, under his leadership, is con-
sidered one of the most efficient police organizations in
the country.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in behalf
of the many friends he has made while in his official position,
as a Board of City Commissioners we extend to him the good
will and commendations of an appreciative citizenry of
Salt Lake City. Our best wishes accompany him wherever he
may go.
This resolution shall take ffect upon its
adoption.
Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, this day of February A.D. 1936.
