JOINT RESOLUTION
by the Commission of the Salt Lake City Corporation,
the Commission of the County of Salt Lake
and the State Road Commission,
State of Utah
WHEREAS, under the master plan for the Salt Lake City International
Airport, runway 34L-16R is to be extended to 12,100 feet in length and at a
future date to 13,100 feet in length, and
WHEREAS, the extension of the runway requires the realignment and
reconstruction at 2400 North of 2100 North Street in the City and County of
Salt Lake on the north edge of the Salt Lake City International Airport.
WHEREAS, it is desirable to extend 2400 North Street from its'
western terminus with Redwood Road (1700 West) to 2200 West Street.
NOW THEREFORE, the Salt Lake City Commission, the Salt Lake County
Commission and the State Road Commission, upon recommendation of the Salt Lake
Area Transportation Study Technical Committee (November 18, 1971), and the
recommendation of TRANS COM, Wasatch Front Regional Council (December 15, 1971),
do declare that it is in the public interest to move the proposed interchange
of I-215 and 2100 North to the north to an intersection of 2400 North Street
extended and I-215.
The Commission of the County of Salt Lake as a matter of public convenience and
necessity declares its' intention to construct that portion of 2400 North from
the interchange with I-215 east to 1700 West (Redwood Road).
Approved and adopted by the Salt Lake City Corporation, Salt Lake City, Utah,
