Gail Plummer passed from this life Friday, October 23, 1964; and, WHEREAS, for many years he was a speech instructor at the University of Utah and served as Chairman of the Salt Lake City Library Board since 1959 with great distinction and fidelity, and has rendered invaluable service in many other capacities to the citizens of Salt Lake City and of the State of Utah generally; and, WHEREAS, Salt Lake City gratefully acknowledges his great service to this community and wishes to express its deep appreciation therefor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express on behalf of said Board and of the citizens of Salt Lake City sincere and deep appreciation and gratitude for the great and unselfish services which E. Gail Plummer rendered to Salt Lake City and its citizens in the various capacities in which he has been called to serve. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners hereby express to the family of E. Gail Plummer its sincere and deep sympathy at this time of bereavement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread upon the minutes of the Board of Commissioners and a suitable copy thereof be transmitted by the City Recorder to the family of Mr. Plummer.
