RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, it is necessary to widen Downington Avenue between State
Street and 2nd East and to resurface and improve the same in the cor-
porate limits of Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acquisition
of the real property hereinafter described for the widening and improving
of the above named public thoroughfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
That it is necessary and in the public interest of Salt Lake City
and its inhabitants that the City, for the use of the public, widen
Downington Avenue between State Street and 2nd East and resurface and
improve the same which now is and for many years last past has been
a public street within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City;
That said land hereinafter described and the whole thereof is
hereby determined to be necessary for the construction of the widened
and improved roadway, as hereinabove described.
That condemnation proceedings be, and the same hereby are, author-
ized to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Law Department
of Salt Lake City to acquire thereby all the land hereinafter described
for the necessary construction of the widened and improved right of
way and public street, as hereinabove set forth.
The parcel of land hereinabove referred to and hereby authorized
to be acquired by condemnation proceedings in accordance with the pro-
visions of the statutes and the Constitution of the State of Utah
relating to eminent domain is situated in the County of Salt Lake,
State of Utah, and is more particularly described as follows:

Commencing at a point east 33 feet and north 124.15
feet from the southwest corner of Lot 8, Block 5, 5
Acre Plat "A", Big Field Survey; thence east 154
feet; thence south 1.20 feet; thence westerly 154
feet; thence north to the point of beginning. Con-
taining .0039 acres more or less, all in Block 5,
5 Acre Plat "A", Big Field Survey.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 12th day of June , 1968.
