RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE
WHEREAS, Irma Felt Bitner passed from this life October 8, 1965; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Bitner served the citizens of Salt Lake City as City
Recorder from 1944 to 1956; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Bitner for many years devoted herself to her family,
church and civic duties; and
WHEREAS, in pursuit of such activities she made many valuable and
needed contributions to the citizens of Salt Lake City and the State of
Utah; and
WHEREAS, all of such activities were characterized with unwaivering
fidelity to the trust placed in her;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT
LAKE CITY, UTAH, that said Board does hereby, in its behalf and in behalf
of the citizens of Salt Lake City, pay tribute to and expresses gratitude
for the life and work of Irma Felt Bitner, and for her valuable contribu-
tions to the welfare and growth of Salt Lake City and the State of Utah.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of the Board of City Commis-
sioners do hereby express their deepest sympathy on behalf of themselves
and the citizens of Salt Lake City to the family of Mrs. Bitner.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Recorder transmit a copy of this
resolution to the family of Mrs. Bitner.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
13th day of October, 1965.
