RESOLUTION
Result . . . .
WHEREAS, it is necessary to widen 2nd West Street between
17th and 21st South Streets, and to resurface and improve the
same which is mainly inside but partially outside the corporate
limits of Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the
acquisition of the real property hereinafter described for the
widening and improving of the above named public thoroughfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
That it is necessary for the use and in the public interest
of Salt Lake City and its inhabitants that the City widen 2nd West
Street between 17th and 21st South and resurface and improve the
same which now is and for many years last past has been a public
street which is mostly within the corporate limits of Salt Lake
City;
That said land hereinafter described and the whole thereof is
hereby determined to be necessary for the construction of the
widened and improved roadway, as hereinabove described.
That condemnation proceedings be, and the same hereby are,
authorized to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Law
Department of Salt Lake City to acquire thereby all the land here-
inafter described for the necessary construction of the widened
and improved right of way and public street, as hereinabove set
forth.

The parcel of land hereinabove referred to and hereby
authorized to be acquired by condemnation proceedings in
accordance with the provisions of the statutes and the Con-
stitution of the State of Utah relating to eminent domain
is situated in the County of Salt Lake, State of Utah, and
is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 41, Block
1, Syndicate Place, a subdivision of Lots 1, 19
& 20, Block 8, 5 Acre Plat A, B.F.S., and running
thence South 100.0 feet to the southeast corner of
Lot 44, said Block and Subdivision, thence west
15.99 feet, thence north 100.0 feet, thence east
15.92 feet to the point of beginning, being a strip
of land contained within the east portion of Lots 41
through 44 inclusive, said Block and Subdivision.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, this 30th day of June , 1970.
