HHammenI/1 M ' ✓Barker II//JJ��r;w c !„ Harrison �: Phillips RESOLUTION Result A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE RATE OF TAX LEVY AND LEVYING TAXES UPON ALL REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY WITHIN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, MADE TAXABLE BY LAW, FOR THE YEAR 1972. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: 1. That, for the purpose of defraying the necessary and proper expenses of Salt Lake City, and maintaining the government thereof, it is hereby determined that the rate of the general Salt Lake City tax upon all real and personal property within Salt Lake City, made taxable by law, for the year 1972, be, and the same hereby is, deter- mined to be 27.2 mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property, and that there be, and there hereby is, levied in the year 1972, for the fiscal year of Salt Lake City ending June 30, 1973, upon all the real and personal property within Salt Lake City, made taxable by law, a tax of 27.2 mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property for Salt Lake City as follows: (a) 22.5 mills for general fund for general city purposes. (b) 1.5 mills for city bond interest and bond redemption sinking fund. (c) .5 mill for purposes of the Utah Governmental Immunity Act. 2. That, for the purpose of defraying the necessary and proper expenses of Salt Lake City in maintaining and operating its libraries and reading rooms, it is hereby determined that the rate of tax upon all real and personal property within Salt Lake City, made taxable by law, for the year 1972, be, and the same hereby is, determined to be 2.7 mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property, and that there be, and there hereby is, levied in the year 1972, for the fiscal year of Salt Lake City ending June 30, 1973, upon all the real and personal property within Salt Lake City, made taxable by law, a tax of 2.7 mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property for main- tenance and operation of the City's libraries and reading rooms. -2- 3. That the rate and levy hereinabove determined and levied be certified to the auditor of Salt Lake County, Utah, not later than the second Thursday in August, 1972. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this resolution take effect upon its passage and an emergency is hereby declared to exist so that the said levy may be made and said tax collected as required by law. This Resolution shall take effect upon its adoption. Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this th July 27 day of 1972.
