Fehr - - - ;Jr"' Finch Lake Mr.Chairman - RESOLUTION Result - - WHEREAS, Salt Lake City is the owner of certain water rights which it conveys to said city by means of conduits from the streams and canyons adjacent to said Salt Lake City and has determined that for the good of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City it is necessary to construct the 27th South Reservoir for the pur- pose of more efficiently distributing said water among the inhabi- tants of said city and maintaining in its pipeline system in Salt Lake City proper pressures for said distribution; and WHEREAS, it is essential to the welfare of the inhabitants of said city and for their protection that said reservoir be con- t structed; and A' Ay WHEREAS, it is hereby declared to be necessary for said city to have the fee simple title to the following described proper- ty for the purpose of constructing said reservoir tt4ereon, to-wit: All of Lots 33 and 34, Pleasant View Park Subdivi- sion; a subdivision of part of Sections 25 and 26.;,T. 1 S., R. 1 E., S. L. B. & M. and r WHEREAS, the owners of said land have refused the price tendered by the city for said land, which said price the city believes to be fair and reasonable for said land. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Attorney be and he hereby is instructed and directed to bring suit against the owners of the property above described for the purpose of acquiring the fee simple title to said land for Salt Lake City by condemna— tion for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a reservoir thereon. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be and he hereby is instructed to commence such proceedings at once. It is necessary in the opinion of the Board of Commission— ers of Salt Lake City, Utah, that this resolution take effect upon its passage.
