Dear Sir:
The Board of County Commissioners, at its meeting held this day,
acknowledged receipt of RESOLUTION NO. 32 of 1966, passed by the
Board of City Commissioners on September 14, 1966, for Salt Lake
City to join with Salt Lake County in creating and establishing
in Salt Lake County a full time City-County Health Department.
Meetings are being held in connection with the above matter.

RESOLUTION
Result . . . .
WHEREAS under Article 3 of Chapter 15 of Title 26, U.C.A. 1953, provision
is made for the creation of a full time health department by a County and for
any City to join with a County to create and maintain a full time City-County
health department; and
WHEREAS there is urgent need for the establishment and maintenance of a
City-County full time health department in Salt Lake County to protect and
promote the health and welfare of the residents of the incorporated and unin-
corporated areas, said County and the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
have determined that it is in the best interests of the residents of Salt Lake
City to join with Salt Lake County to create a full time City-County health
department under the provisions of said Article 3.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah, that Salt Lake City join with Salt Lake County in creating and
establishing in Salt Lake County, Utah, a full time City-County health depart-
ment in accordance with authority granted under Title 26, Chapter 15, Section
34, U.C.A. 1953, as amended, to be known as "City-County Health Department of
Salt Lake County", and in accordance with the provisions of a proposed agree-
ment, copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part here
