Holmes, a highly respected officer of the City of Salt Lake for many years, passed away on the 7th day of December, 1962; and, WHEREAS, she served the people of this city faithfully and with dedication and with distinction as a citizen and also in the capacity of Head Librarian and was respected by all who knew her. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMIS- SIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY that they do hereby pay tribute to her for her integrity and devotion to the City of Salt Lake and for her accomplishments in office and for her outstanding contribution to the Salt Lake City Library and to the people of this community. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be delivered to the family of Ethel E. Holmes with an expression of our sympathy and sincere appreciation for the contributions she made to the welfare and advancements of Salt Lake City.
