Attached is a resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, Utah, endorsing your plan to secure a franchise to
bring professional hockey matches to Salt Lake City at the Salt Palace.
The City Commission wishes you success in this endeavor and assures
you of its continued support.

RESOLUTION
Result . . . .
WHEREAS, Mr. Daniel H. Meyer is negotiating for
a franchise in a professional Hockey League which would
include Salt Lake City as one of the members; and
y..
WHEREAS, the new Salt Palace being constructed by
Salt Lake County will be completed prior to October, 1969,
and will provide excellent and commodious facilities for
the holding of hockey contests; and
WHEREAS, membership of Salt Lake City in said
League and holding of hockey contests in the city will
add greatly to the economy and recreation of the city:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby
endorse the plan of Mr. Meyer to bring professional hockey
contests to this city, and does hereby respectfully urge
that he be given a franchise including Salt Lake City
a member of the proposed professional hockey league.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah, this 25th day of June, 1968.
