it RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH
THE UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY FORA
GRANT TO PERFORM AN INFILTRATION/INFLOW STUDY OF SALT LAKE
CITY'S SEWER SYSTEM
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City is eligible to apply for assistance to
help pay the cost of an Infiltration/ Inflow Study of the City's sewer sys-
tem; and
WHEREAS, the study will locate the cause of Infiltration/Inflow
into the City's sewer system and will prescribe the actions necessary to
minimize infiltration/inflow; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Salt Lake City to apply for this
grant in order to improve the City's sewer services;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City:
1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby
authorize the filing of an application on behalf of Salt Lake City Corpora-
tion with the United States Environmental Protection Agency through the Utah
Division of Water Quality Control for a grant to help finance an Infiltration/
Inflow Study of the Salt Lake City sewer system.
2. That the Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah is hereby authorized to
execute and file said application on behalf of Salt Lake City Corporation and
to act in connection with said application and to provide such additional in-
formation as may be required.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah this
