Result ■■ RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it is necessary to expand the approach zone to the
runway of Airport No. 2 of Salt Lake City and improve the same
in the corporate limits of Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity required the
acquisition of the real property hereinafter described for the
said expansion of the runway at Airport No. 2;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City, Utah:
That it is necessary and in the public interest of Salt Lake
City and its inhabitants that the city, for the use of the public,
expand the approach zone to the runway of Airport No. 2 and improve
the same which now is and for many years past has been a public
airport within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City;
That said land hereinafter described and the whole thereof
is hereby determined to be necessary for the construction and
expansion and improvement of the approach zone to the runway, as
hereinabove described;
That condemnation proceedings be, and the same hereby are,
authorized to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Law
Department of Salt Lake City to acquire thereby all of the land
hereinafter described for the necessary construction, expansion and
improvement of the approach zone to the runway of Airport No. 2.
The parcel of land hereinaboce referred to and hereby author-
ized to be acquired by condemnation proceedings in accordance with
the provisions of the statutes and the constitution of the State
of Utah relating to eminent domain is situated in the County of
Salt Lake, State of Utah, and is more particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at a point which is 961.301 feet West and
216.167 feet South from the Northeast corner of Section
31, Township 2 South, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Meridian;
thence South 82°30'00" West 361 feet, more or less, to
the intersection of the West boundary line of said grantors
land and the South right-of-way line of the existing Bing-
ham Highway (Utah State Department of Highways Project No.
S-6); thence Northeasterly 358 feet, more or less, along
said South line and along the arc of a 3,759.8 foot radius
curve to the right (whose tangent bears North 71°03'29"
East at said property intersection); thence South 13°55'08"
East 55 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning,
containing 0.245 acres, more or less.
