WHERAS, Mr. Milo Marsden was appointed many years ago by the
Board of Salt Lake City Commissioners to serve as member of the
Civil Service Commission of Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Marsden has through his service, given significant
effort to improvement and control of the Civil Service employees of
the City; and
WHEREAS, during the course of his membership on said Commission,
Mr. Marsden has performed all of his duties efficiently, faithfully
and honestly; and has earned the respect and admiration of his
colleagues, the City's employees and the public with whom he has
dealt; and
WHEREAS, the unpaid voluntary service rendered to Salt Lake
City and its residents represents a prime example of an invaluable
citizen's civic involvement in the time demanding responsibilities
which are a benefit to the entire community; and
WHEREAS, the meeting of June 15, 1978, will be the last appear-
ance as part of the Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City that the Board does hereby express to Milo Marsden
on behalf of itself and the residents of Salt Lake City, its sincere
appreciation and gratitude for his devotion and capable service; his
untiring efforts on the City's Civil Service Commission. The Board
of Salt Lake City Commissioners wishes Mr. Marsden well in his con-
tinuing efforts and pursuits as he now leaves his appointment and
hopes that he will derive satisfaction from knowing he has played
an important role in the conduct of City business and for the benefit
of the City's residents.
