WEE'F .AS, On June 10, 1914, at or near First South and Third
East Streets a collisiion occurred between the combination hose
wagon of the Fire Department of Salt Lake City and Car No. 700 of
the Utah Light i Traction Company, resulting in injury to one horse
and fatal injury to two other horses and damage to said combination
hose wagon; and
EMUS, The Utah Light is Traction Company has proposed to
adjust said damage by payment of the sum of $675.00 to Salt Lake
City, and has presented to Salt Lake City a sight draft on Joseph
S. Wells through MoCorniok & Company, Bankers, for said sum,
together with a release of all claims in regard to such damage to
hose wagon and injuries to horses, a copy of which release is as
follows:
"RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS.
IN CONSIDERATION OF the payment of Five Hundred Seventy Five
(fi75.00) Dollars, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,
Salt Lake City, a Municipal Corporation, does hereby release and
forever discharge the UTAH LIGHT AND TRACTION COMPANY, its Successors
and Assigns, of and from any and all claims, damages or causes of
action, that exist or may hereafter accrue to said Salt Lake City
on account of any and all loss and damage -- particularly to fire
apparatus, injury to one horse and fatal injury to two other horses,
and any other matter or thing, sustained by said Salt Lake City at
or near First South and Third East Streets in said city, on June 10,
1916, due to a collision between combination hose wagon and oar No.
700 of said Utah Light and Traction Company.

HOF1 THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City, Utah, that the said sum of $575.00 be accepted
in full settlement of such damage to hose wagon and loss and injury
to horses, and that the Mayor be authorised and empowered to sign
the release presented by said Utah Light and Traction Company, and
that the City Recorder be directed to countersign the same and
affix thereto the Seal of Salt Lake City.
