Greener Harmsen Harrison ✓ Phillips RESOLUTION Result RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION WHEREAS, Mr. A. Fenton Smith is retiring from employment with the Department of Streets and Public Improvements of Salt Lake City Corporation; and WHEREAS, Mr. Smith was employed with Salt Lake City on a field survey crew from 1932 to 1935; and WHEREAS, Mr. Smith served in the United States Navy from April, 1942 to October, 1945; and WHEREAS, on August 26, 1963, Mr. Smith renewed his employment with Salt Lake City as an accountant in the City Engineer's office; and WHEREAS, on January 1, 1966, his employment classification was changed to Administration Clerk II, which position he has held con- tinually since that time; and WHEREAS, during his tenure of service, he has been diligent and efficient in the discharge of his duties and assignments and has served with fidelity and thoroughness and is regarded as a gentleman by his associates; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City and Salt Lake City residents owe Mr. Smith a debt of gratitude for his dedication to public service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, that it does hereby express to A. Fenton Smith sincere and deep appreciation and gratitude for his faithful service to Salt Lake City and its inhabitants. Said Board further expresses its best wishes for a long, productive and enjoyable period of retirement.
