RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MINORITY FIRE SAFETY PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has requested an appropriation
in the amount of $5,000.00 to be used for implementing a fire
safety program for non-English speaking minorities living in
motels and apartments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council supports this project; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department Budget has an anticipated
excess in their budget for Fiscal Year 1980-81.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Salt Lake City
Council approves the minority fire safety program and requests
that the $5,000 necessary to implement the program come out of
the Fire Department Budget for Fiscal Year 1980-81.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 21st day of April, 1981 .
