RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH THE UNITED STATES DEPART-
MENT OF THE INTERIOR THROUGH THE UTAH OUTDOOR RECREATION AGENCY FOR A GRANT TO UP-
GRADE AND EXPAND CITY PARK FACILITIES AS AUTHORIZED BY PUBLIC LAW 88-5 78.
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City is eligible to apply for assistance to expand and con-
struct public outdoor recreation areas and facilities; and
WHEREAS, the improvements undertaken as part of this project will enhance the
quality of recreational facilities in the City as well as serve to beautify the
City; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Salt Lake City to apply for this grant in order
to improve and upgrade its parks,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City:
1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby authorize the
filing of an application on behalf of Salt Lake City Corporation with the United
States Department of the Interior through the Utah Outdoor Recreation Agency for a
grant to upgrade and expand City park facilities.
2. That Ted L. Wilson, Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah, is hereby authorized to
execute and file said application on behalf of Salt Lake City Corporation, and to
act in connection with said application and to provide such additional information
as may be required.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 27th
day of May, 1976.
