A RESOLUTION TO CREATE SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH LIGHTING
DISTRICT NO. 1 AND TO APPROVE SERVICES AND IMPROVEMENTS AS SET
FORTH IN THE NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CREATE THE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Council declared its intention
to create Lighting District No. 1 on the 3rd day of March, 1981 ;
and
WHEREAS, said Notice of Intention was published first on
March 12, 1981, second on March 19, 1981, third, on March 26,
1981 , and last on April 2, 1981; and that said Notice was mailed,
postage prepaid, to each owner of the property to be assessed
within the Special Improvement District at his last known address
as said address appeared on the last completed real property
assessment rolls of Salt Lake County, and also sent to "owner" at
the street number of each piece of improved property to be
assessed; and
WHEREAS, on April 14, 1981, the City Council considered each
and every protest filed and heard each and every person who
wished to be heard in protest against the creation of the
district or the maintenance of services therein or on any other
matter pertinent to said district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF SALT
LAKE CITY, UTAH:
1. The protests made are hereby deemed to be insufficient
to require any change or alteration in the district as proposed.
2. The estimated cost of the City's portion of improvement
costs is to be increased from 15% to 25% of total project costs
and the total estimated cost of the abutter's portion of project
costs is to be reduced in an amount equal to the total dollar
increase in the City's portion.
3. Services and improvements proposed and described in the
Notice of Intention to create Lighting District No. 1 are hereby
authorized, and Salt Lake City Lighting District No. 1 is hereby
