RESOLUTION.
AREAS the Chief of Police in his annual report
recommends the appointment of a committee to examine the accounts
of Ids contingent fund from time to time; and
WHEREAS the Mayor desires to have all the papers and
accounts in the police department contingent fund audited by a
committee representing the taxpayers of the city; and
WHEREAS it is manifestly contrary to public policy
and chiefly beneficial to lawbreakers to have the items of such
