Result RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Board o f Commissi mars has been informed
that there is a'move on foot by the railroads of California
to eliminate commodity rates on road oil, and that an applica-
f
tion is now on file before the Railroad. Commission of California ' ,
to affect such purpose, and
WHEREAS, If such commodity rates are eliminated, a
substantial increase in cost of freight will result and make
it impracticable for this Board to continue its purchase of
California road oil with asphalt base, and

WHEREAS, More than One Hundred Twenty-five/gallons
of such oil will be needed this season for use by Salt Lake
City upon its roads.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we do hereby
protest against any increase in the freight rates on road oil
and that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
Railroad Commission of the State of California.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, this 1 day of May, A. D. , 21.
