RESOLUTION
Result
WHEREAS, SALT LAKE CITY, a municipal corporation of the
State of Utah, is desirous of being relieved from its obligation
under the AP-4 Agreement, covering Salt Lake Municipal ^ir:;ort No.
2; and
WHEREAS, the Government is willing to release the City
from the aforementioned agreement providing that any funds received
from the sale of Airport Co. 2 shall be used for the future develop-
ment of Salt Lake Cityts municipal Airport No. 1.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Recoraer
are authorized and directed to execdte a contract, as follows:
"WHEREAS, the City of Salt Lake City, Utah, (hereinafter
called 'City'), did, as a condition precedent to the develop-
ment of Salt Lake City Municipal Airport No. 2 by the United
State of America, undertake, by Resolution of the City Commis-
sion enacted February 11, 1941, to develop, operate, and main-
tain said airport subject to certain conditions recited there-
in; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City on December 7, 1951, formal-
ly requested the Administrator of the Civil Aeronautics Administra-
tion to relieve said City of said undertaking, in order to enable
said City to sell said airport property, and to apply the pro-
ceeds of said sale to the development of Salt Lake City Munici-
pal Airport No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the Administrator has determined that the release
of said City from the obligations of said Resolution of Febru-
ary 11, 1941, as proposed in said request, is in the best inter-
ests of the United States;

That in consideration of the benefits to accrue to the
parties hereto, the Administrator of Civil Aeronautics, on be-
half of the United States, on the one part, and the City of Salt
Lake City, Utah, on the other part, do hereby mutually agree
that the said City be and hereby is relieved of the assurances,
covenants, and conditions recited in that certain Resolution
enacted by the City Commission of said City on February 11, 1941,
relating to the development, operation, and maintenance of Salt
Lake City Funicipal Airport `o. 2, provided, however, that any
and all proceeds received as a result of the sale of said Salt
Lake City Municipal Airport No. 2 will be reserved, set aside,
and used for the future development of Salt Lake City ?;unicipal
Airport No. 1.

Agreement to be duly executed on the dates hereinbelow shown.
