BL IT iUSOLVAD by the hoard of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: That for the purpose of defraying the necessary and proper expense of Salt Lake City and maintaining the Government thereof, there be and there is hereby levied upon all the real and personal property within Salt Lake City, Utah, made taxable by law, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1954, a tax of 17.5 mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property for Salt Lake City and 1. mill on each dollar assessed valuation of said property for the Library Board, and 4. mill levy for Cater Purification and Sewage Disposal. Said tax is hereby levied and to be raised for the following purposes and is and shall be apportioned to such purposes in the following manner: CUDTINGLNT mXP,:,N3r S To defray contingent expenses, two and five tenths (2.5) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. AUDITOR To defray the expense of the Auditor, four tenths (.4) of a mill on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. DEPARTI,IENT OF PARKS AND PUBLIC PROPERTY To defray the expense of the Department of Parks and Public Property, two (2.000) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. DEPAR'1'.•1ENT OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS APu FIAANCE To defray the expenses of the Department of Public Affairs and Finance, one and six hundred thousandths(1.6000)on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. DEPARTi ENT uF PUBLIC SAFETY To defray the expense of the Department of Public Safety five (5.000) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. LIBRARY LOARD To maintain public libraries and free reading rooms, one (1.000) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. WATER PURIFICATION AND SEAAGE DISPOSAL For water Purification and Sewage Disposal four (4.000) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. It is necessary in the opinion of the Board of Commissioners for the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake -3- City, Utah, that this resolution shall take effect upon its passage, and an emergency is hereby declared to exist so that said levy may be made and said tax collected as required by law.
