RESOLUTION
Result . . . . OF APPRECIATION

WHEREAS, Nephi E. McLachlan was, for more than forty years,
employed by Salt Lake City in its Street Department and for many
years of that period served as city chemist; and
WHEREAS, throughout all his long tenure of service he has given
to Salt Lake City unexcelled and conscientious devotion to its
interests, and has served with marked fidelity and efficiency; and
WHEREAS, he has now voluntarily terminated his employment with
Salt Lake City by retiring from its service:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY that said Board, in behalf of itself and the in-
habitants of Salt Lake City, does hereby express to Nephi E. McLachlan
deep and sincere appreciation for his long and faithful service, for
his devotion and fidelity to his employment and for the fine contribu-
tion he has made to the administration of the affairs of the city that
have come within the orbit of his duties.
Said Board hereby extends to him best wishes that his days of
retirement may be enjoyable, pleasant and profitable.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Recorder shall give to
him a copy of this resolution.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 16th day of February, 1965.
