WHEREAS, Dan B. Shields has served as a member of the
Salt Lake City Civil Service Commission since the 14th day
of May, 1963; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure of service on the Civil
Service Commission he has been diligent and efficient in
the discharge of his duties and assignments and has served
with fidelity and thoroughness thus rendering valuable
service to Salt Lake City and its inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, he has now voluntarily retired from his assign-
ment with the Salt Lake City Civil Service Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMIS-
SIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY that it does hereby express to
Dan B. Shields sincere and deep appreciation and gratitude
for his faithful service to Salt Lake City and its citizens.
Said Board further expresses its best wishes that the future
will bring him added enjoyment and satisfaction.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, this day of February, 1969.
