Greener i , `/ ^� *wigs*.IJggerig n / ILA- Y Phillips / RESOLUTION Result O/ OF APPRECIATION WHEREAS, on December 8, 1975, the Congress Hotel caught fire and burned, totally destroying the building; and WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Fire and Police Departments were called and promptly responded to the emergency situation; and WHEREAS, because of the action of said Fire and Police Department all lives and some personal property was preserved; and WHEREAS, without the diligent and well-trained action on the part of said two departments, injury and possibly death would have been much greater. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, on behalf of themselves and all the residents of Salt Lake City, Utah, that it does hereby express sincere appreciation and gratitude for the diligence and careful service rendered by the Salt Lake City Police and Fire Departments, and for their noteworthy service. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of the Resolution be delivered to the Chief of the Salt. eke City Fire and Police Departments.
