RESOLUTION
Result
WHEREAS, the Board of City Commissioners, on August 22, 1963,
created a committee called the Civic Committee under the People to
People Program; and
WHEREAS, the Program has been very successful in developing
Sister Cities to Salt Lake City and improving the understanding of
international people; and
WHEREAS, the more common name of the committee is the Sister
Cities Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City, Utah, that the Civic Committee People to People
Program name be officially changed to the Sister Cities Committee.
DATED this 12th day of January, 1977 .
