RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, a condition now exists in this city where it seems
impossible for the City Attorney to bring in convictions against the
criminal element of this city, especially against prostitutes and the
manager of the "Stockade" , and the rooming house evil with their
illegal liquor selling and gambling; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that this Council meet next Thursday night as a
Committee of the Whole with the Chief of Police and City Attorney, to
investigate the reason why such condition as before mentioned,now
exists-, and that said committee of 1*e .xhole , at that time , also
investigate the statement reporte• y . •s daily pre?s to the
effect that many holdups and robb:. 402 the city,
of recent date , and not reported nor ma e to t e public by
the Chief of Police.
