Result . . . .
WHEREAS, Western Air Lines International, for many years, has
maintained in Salt Lake City a stewardess base; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance of said stewardess base in Salt Lake
City has resulted in bringing to, and keeping within, Salt Lake City
and the State of Utah, a desirable facility and a substantial pay-
roll; and
WHEREAS, there presently is an organized and energetic state
program to aid in the industrial development of the state by encour-
aging and soliciting industries to locate their plants and facilities
in the Sate of Utah; and
WHEREAS, Western Air Lines International has expressed its
intention to remove its stewardess base from Salt Lake City and
locate the same outside the State of Utah and such action would
militate against the industrial development program above mentioned
and would result in a loss to Salt Lake City and the State of Utah
of a substantial facility and its attendant payroll:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby vigorously oppose
the removal of said stewardess base from Salt Lake City and the
