RESOLUTION
Result . . . .
WHEREAS, Lt. Kenneth J. Price commenced service with the
Salt Lake City Police Department as a patrolman on December 1,
1942, and has been a member of that department for more than
26 years; and
WHEREAS, during his long tenure with the Police Department
he has served in many capacities and has distinguished himself
by his conscientious efforts and dedicated service; and
WHEREAS, Lt. Price has won the esteem of his fellow officers
and the youth of this city, having sponsored the baseball youth
program which resulted in the betterment of the youth of Salt
Lake City and County; and
WHEREAS, Lt. Price has been a devoted and efficient servant
of Salt Lake City and its residents; and
WHEREAS, he is now voluntarily retiring from his employ-
ment with the Police Department in his capacity of Commanding
Officer of the Crime Laboratory:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY that said Board does hereby express deep grat-
itude and appreciation for the devoted and able service Lt. Price
has rendered during his employment with the Police Department.
The City Recorder is directed to deliver a copy of this
resolution to Lt. Price.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 20th day of August, 1969.
