WHEREAS, it is necessary to improve and expand the facilities of the Salt Lake City International Airport by installing an instrument approach systen, attendant service facilities and an approach zone for the North-South runway of the Salt Lake City International Airport; and WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acquisition of the real property hereinafter described for such improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERE OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: That it is necessary and in the public interest of Salt Lake City and its inhabitants that the City, for the use of the public, immediately obtain the following described real property in order to establish an adequate zone south of the existing eastermost North-South runway at said Airport in order to implement and use the new instrument approach system presently being constructed at and all of which is within the boundaries of the Salt Lake City International Airport. That said land hereinafter described and the whole thereof is hereby determined to be necessary for said improvements and approach zone as hereinabove described. That condmenation proceedings be, and the same hereby are, author- ized to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Law Department of Salt Lake City, to acquire thereby all the land hereinafter described for the necessary approach zone as hereinabove set forth. The parcel of land hereby authorized to be acquired by condemna- tion proceedings in accordance with the provisions of the statutes and the Constitution of the State of Utah relating to eminent domain is situated in the County of Salt Lake, State of Utah, and is more parti- cularly described as follows: -2- Commencing 100.00 feet North from the S.W. corner of Section 33, Township 1 North, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian and running thence East 959.35 feet, thence North 568.25 feet to the South line of North Temple Street; thence West 959.35 feet; thence South 568.25 feet to point of beginning.
