Result RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, in the year 1889, Joseph Hyrum Luck and wife deeded
to halt Lake City a parcel of land to be used as a right-of-way for
the Jordan and Salt Lake City Canal; and
WHEREAS, because of a mistake in the location of the starting
point the said parcel of land deeded to said City does not include
any of said right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, said canal was long ago established through the land
of said Luck, and said Luck and wife are now willing to convey to said
City by true description the parcel of land now constituting the
right-of-way of said canal, and request that said city quit claim to
Joseph H. Luck the parcel of land by him deeded to said City through
mistake:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT said halt Lake city accept said
proposition and that said City make a quit-claim deed to Joseph Hyrum
Luck of the following described parcel of land: „... .144 6"4,yl :
Beginning at a point in the lower side of Jordan and Salt
Lake City Canal, 200 feet East from the Southwest corner of Lot 7,
Block 23, Ten-Acre Plat "A", Territorial Survey; thence running along
the lower side of said canal North 21 deg. West 171 feet; thence
North 31 deg. 301 West 350 feet; thence North 41 deg; 30' West 160
feet; thence East 50 feet; thence South 41 deg. 301 East 160 feet;
thence South 31 deg. 30, East 350 feet; thence South 21 dig. East 171
feet; thence West 50 feet to the place of beginning, containing.75
acres.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Recorder of
Salt Lake City are hereby authorized and directed to sign, countersign
and execute said deed for and in behalf of said City; said quit-claim
deed to be delivered to said Joseph Hyrum Luck when said Joseph
Hyrum Luck and Elizabeth M. Luck make, execute and deliver to said
City a warranty deed describing the right-of-way now occupied by
'said canal across their premises,
