Gentlemen:
Here is a "Resolution of Appreciation", passed by the Board of
Salt Lake City Commissioners, extending congratulations to the
players, coaches and management of the Salt Lake City Angels for
winning the Pacific Coast League Championship.
Salt Lake City and its citizens are very proud of the great credit
and recognition you have accomplished.

/ OF CONGRATULATIONS
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Angels Baseball Team has
demonstrated great team spirit and skill; and
WHEREAS, the said team won the championship of the
Southern Division of the Pacific Coast League; and
WHEREAS, the said team has now been victorious in
winning the Pacific Coast League Championship; and
WHEREAS, the winning and competitive spirit of the said
team has brought great credit and recognition to the City of
Salt Lake and its residents:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMIS-
SIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, on its behalf and on behalf of the
residents of Salt Lake City, that the Board does hereby
express to the players, coaches and management of the Salt
Lake City Angels, its sincere and hearty congratulations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THE THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, that the City Recorder be directed to deliver
a copy of this resolution to the Salt Lake City Angels Base-
ball Team as an expression of our pride in their past accomp-
lishments and of our wish that the future may bring many such
garlands of victory.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, this 9th day of September, 1971. -
