I move that the Resolution be adopte Catmull . . Garn Harrison . . . Mr. Chairman . RESOLUTION Result . . . . WHEREAS, Vernal T. Beckstead has been employed by Salt Lake City Corporation since December 26, 1963; and WHEREAS, Mr. Beckstead is employed in the Salt Lake City Street Department and since January of 1966 has been the Street Superintendent; and WHEREAS, during his tenure of service he has been diligent and efficient in the discharge of his duties and assignments and has served with fidelity and thoroughness, thus rendering valuable service to Salt Lake City and its residents; and WHEREAS, Mr. Beckstead is now retiring from his employment with the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, that it does hereby express to Vernal T. Beckstead its sincere and deep appreciation for his dependable and faithful service to the City and its residents. It is the Board's further wish that he enjoy a long and enjoyable retirement period.
