Carter has been employed by Salt Lake City in its Water Department for the past 35 years as a water distribution service man; and WHEREAS, he is retiring from further employment by the City as of October 1, 1968; and WHEREAS, during his entire tenure of employment he has been a conscientious, capable and efficient public servant; and WHEREAS, through his faithful service and attention to his duties and his unselfish service on behalf of others, he has rendered valuable service to Salt Lake City and its inhabitants: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that said Board, on its behalf, and on behalf of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, does hereby express to Arthur L. Carter sincere thanks and appreciation for his devoted services. Said Board extends its best wishes that the future will bring him added enjoyments and satisfactions. The City Recorder is hereby directed to deliver a copy of this resolution to Arthur L. Carter. Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this First day of October , 1968. 7 l J.
