RESOLUTION
tieHERLAS, on October 1, 1952, the Board of Commissioners
authorized by resolution the borrowing of b200,000.00 and the is-
suance of eight (8) notes representative thereof, acid notes num-
bered from one (1) to eight (8) inclusive, being in the denomina-
tion of p25,000.00 each; and
,,,HtaeA5, notes numbered five (5), six (a), seven (7) and
cieht (8) have not been sold and are on hand and in the possession
of the City Treasurer; and
t.HLReAS, it is the desire and intention of the Board of
Commissioners to retire and cancel said notes.
NOW, THERLFORE, BE IT RESULVLD that notes numbered five
(5), six (6), seven (7) and eight (8), bearing interest et the rate
of six per cent per annum of the Series of October 1, 19c:2, payable
on the 5th day of December, 1952, be and the same hereby are cancel-
led and retired and the Ci.ty Treasurer is hereby directed- to destroy
said notes by cremation in the presence of the Board of Conlmission-
ers and report in writing his action v;ith reference to their- destruc-
tion.
It is necessary in the opinion of the Board of Commission-
ers for the. peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt
Lake City, Utah, that this rr-solution take effect upon it: esso-_ase.
