Marsden passed from this life on the 6th day of October, 1968; and WHEREAS, he served as an Assistant Salt Lake City Attorney for several years prior to his retirement in 1966; and WHEREAS, he has served in various governmental positions in the State of Utah and its political subdivisions during most of his adult life; and WHEREAS, his generosity and friendly spirit endeared him to all classes of people, young and old; and WHEREAS, in his passing the City of Salt Lake and the State of Utah have lost one of their beloved citizens; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express in its own behalf and in behalf of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, its deep and sincere appre- ciation for the life and service of Albert M. Marsden and for his con- tribution to the progress and growth of this community and state. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said board does hereby express deep sympathy to the family of Mr. Marsden in the loss they have sustained in his passing. The City Recorder is directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the family of Mr. Marsden. Passed by the Board of City Commissioners this 9th day of October, 1968. (Absent) /7 ) " i . J.
