HomeMy WebLinkAbout48 of 1916 - A resolution cancelling contract entered into with Nellie Pickett for feeding prisoners. sl REMARKS: 48 Resolution No. By Commissioner Ferry Cancelling contract entered into with Nellie Pickett for feeding prisoners. 9 �87s. 4t l I ROLLCALL „.,,o.sP• ,W VOTING AYE NAY Salt Lake City, Utah,AUg• 9,1916. 191__ 'een I move that the resolution be adopted. heid - �earman ells r.Chairman I Result RESOLUTION WHEREAS,on the first day of January 1916 a contract was entered into by and between SALT LAKE CITY and NELLIE PICKETT under the terms of which the said NELLIE PICKETT undertook to feed the prisoners confined in the City Jail at the price of ten (10) cents per meal until the first of January 1920, and WHEREAS, it is provided that the said contract may be terminated by SALT LAKE CITY at any time upon the failure or refusal of NELLIE PICKETT to fully comply with the terms thereof, and WHEREAS, the City Commissioners of SALT LAKE CITY are in receipt of a communication from said NELLIE PICKETT finder date of August 4th,1916 in which she declines to further furnish meals for the city prisoners at the agreed upon price of ten (10) cents per meal, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in consideration of the facts above set forth the contract is hereby declared abrogated and cancelled as of August 5, 1916, and that the said NELLIE PICKETT be regularly notified of this action. Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, August 10, 1916. City Recorder
