/ OF CONDOLENCE
WHEREAS, Tony N. Gannuscio passed from this life on the 11th
day of October, 1968, when he was fatally injured in an accident
while so ably performing his duties for the street department of
Salt Lake City Corporation; and
WHEREAS, he has been employed by Salt Lake City Corporation
for the past seventeen years prior to his death as a truck driver;
and
WHEREAS, shortly before his death he courageously acted in
such a manner as to save the life of a fellow employee, Robert
F. Bruhn, exposing himself to great personal danger; and
WHEREAS, his friendliness and willingness to work have
endeared him to his fellow employees, his supervisors and to
the general public; and
WHEREAS, in his untimely demise the City of Salt Lake has
lost one of its beloved and efficient employees:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express in its own
behalf and in behalf of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, its
deep and sincere appreciation for the life and service of Tony N.
Gannuscio and for his contribution to the progress and growth of
this state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said board does hereby express
deep sympathy to the family of Tony N. Gannuscio in the loss they
have sustained in his passing.
The City Recorder is directed to transmit a copy of this
resolution to the family of Mr. Gannuscio.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners this 15th day of
October, 1968.
