WHEREAS, it is necessary to widen and install curb, gutters
and enlarge driveways on Second West between 13th South and 21st South
Streets in Salt Lake City, Utah; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the
acquisition of the parcel of real property hereinafter described for the
widening and improvement of the above public thoroughfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
That it is necessary and in the public interest of Salt Lake
City and its inhabitants that the City for the use of the public widen,
resurface and improve Second West Street between 13th South and 21st
South Streets, all of which is within the corporate limits of Salt Lake
City;
That said land hereinafter described, and the whole thereof,
is hereby determined to be necessary for said improvements as hereinabove
described;
That condemnation proceedings be, and the same hereby are,
authorized to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Law Depart-
ment of Salt Lake City, to acquire thereby all the land hereinafter
described for the necessary construction of a widened and improved right-
of-way and public street as hereinabove set forth.
The parcel of land hereby authorized to be acquired by con-
demnation proceedings in accordance with the provisions of the statutes
and the constitution of the State of Utah relating to eminent domain
are situated in the County of Salt Lake, State of Utah, and is more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 4, Burr Oak
Addition, a subdivision of part of Block 9, Five Acre
Plat "A", Big Field Survey and running thence S 0°01'
06" east 40.5 feet; thence west 15.0 feet; thence N 0°
01'06" west 118.60 feet more or less to the south
right-of-way line of the D & RG RR: thence N 47°49"
east along said line 20.24 feet; thence S 0°01'06" east
91.69 feet to the point of beginning.
