Barker V Harmsen / L c`'xu /�i't�vv2=Ghvt Harrison Phillips V/ RESOLUTION Result / WHEREAS, it is necessary to improve and expand the facilities of the Salt Lake City International Airport by installing and extend- ing the present main runway and approach zone north for said main runway of the Salt Lake City International Airport; and WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acquisi- tion of the real property hereinafter described for such improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: That it is necessary and in the public interest of Salt Lake City and its inhabitants that the City, for the use of the public, immediately obtain the following described real property in order to establish an adequate main runway and approach zone north of the existing main runway at said Airport, all of which is within the boundaries of the Salt Lake City International Airport. That said land hereinafter described and the whole thereof is hereby determined to be necessary for said improvements and approach zone as hereinabove described. That condemnation proceedings be, and the same hereby are, authorized to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Law Department of Salt Lake City, to acquire thereby all the land herein- after described for the necessary approach zone as hereinafter set forth. The parcel of land hereby authorized to be acquired by condemna- tion proceedings in accordance with the provisions of the statutes and the Constitution of the State of Utah relating to eminent domain is situated in the County of Salt Lake, State of Utah, and is more particularly described as follows: The East half of the Southwest quarter of the South- west quarter of Section 17, Township 1 North, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian.
