48 of 1981 - COUNICL DISTRICT BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENTS -SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL DISTRICTS 1-7, PROVIDED FOR BY VOTE OF RESOLUTION // WHEREAS, THE CITY COUNCIL IS MANDATED BY UTAH STATUTE (UT. CODE ANN, 10-3-1216) TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS IN DISTRICT BOUNDARIES; AND WHEREAS, THE DISTRICTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE OF SUBSTANTIALLY EQUAL POPULATION; AND WHEREAS, THESE ADJUSTMENTS SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF PUBLICATION OF THE OFFICIAL CENSUS; AND WHEREAS, THE OFFICIAL CENSUS FIGURES WERE RECEIVED MARCH 27, 1981, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL DISTRICTS 1-7, PROVIDED FOR BY VOTE OF SALT LAKE CITY RESIDENTS MAY 15, 1979, SHALL BE COMPRISED OF THE SALT LAKE COUNTY VOTING DISTRICTS AS LISTED ON ATTACHED COMPUTER-PRINTOUT AND BOUNDARIES WILL BE AS PER ATTACHED MAP, INCLUDING ANY SUBSEQUENT SUBDIVISION, OR RENUMBERING, IF ANY, OF THESE VOTING DISTRICTS WITHIN EACH COUNCIL DISTRICT. IF ANY VOTING DISTRICT IS MISNUMBERED OR OMITTED FROM THIS ENUMERATION OR IF A NEW DISTRICT BE ADDED THROUGH CITY ANNEXATION, IT SHALL BE ASSIGNED TO A CONTIGUOUS COUNCIL DISTRICT WITHIN THE CITY BY THE CITY RECORDER.
