RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, a special election for the purpose of submitting
to the qualified electors of Salt Lake City who shall have paid a
property tax in the year 1913. the question of incurring a bonded
indebtedness in the sum of $525,000.00 for the purpose of defraying
the expense of increasing, improving, enlarging, extending, perfect-
ing and adding to the present water supply and waterworks system of
said city; also the question of incurring a bonded indebtedness in
the sum of $375,000.00 for the purpose of defraying the expense of
completing, increasing, improving and extending and adding to the
present sewer system of said city, has been ordered for February
18, 1914, by an ordinance duly passed by the Board of Commissioners;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City that the City Recorder is hereby directed fort:th
to proceed to select and make arrangements for not more than y�
suitable voting places in each municipal ward in this city, and make
contract for the same; also to select and to submit to the Board of
Commissioners a list of names of at least three suitable persons of
proper political belief for each voting place.to act as judges of
election therein, each such person to be a resident of one of the
voting districts in the municipal ward in which he is to act as judge;
the City Recorder is directed to make a report to the Board as soon
as he can conveniently do so.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Recorder be. and he is
hereby, instructed to secure registration books, ballots, notices of
election, all stationery, tables, chairs. etc., necessary for such
election for eaoh voting place; and he is hereby authorized to incur
the expense of so .doing and to employ the necessary help for holding
the election in accordance with the provisi n of law
