Result _� RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Ezra Thompson, a former Mayor of Salt Lake City,
departed this life after a career of usefulness and service in
the community; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting that the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City should at this time record its appreciation of the
splendid character and worth of Mayor Thompson and its sorrow
over his passing; and
WHEREAS, many of the City's institutions were developed under
his administration, which stand as evidence of his farsightedness and
his wisdom; and
WHEREAS, the departure of Mayor Thompson is a great loss
to the City he so well served and a deep sorrow to the Board of
Commissioners and other City officials;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board does hereby
express its appreciation of the character and public career of
Mr. Thompson. In his death Salt Lake City has lost one of its
prominent citizens and his associates a dear friend.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution be spread upon
the minutes of this meeting and a copy sent to the family of
Mayor Thompson.
