A RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES UPON ALL TEE REAL AND
PERSONAL PROPERTY WITHIN SALT LAKE CITY, MADE TAXABLE BY LAW,FOR
THE YEAR 1925.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, Utah:
That for the purpose of defraying the necessary
and proper expenses of Salt Lake city, and maintaining the
government thereof, there 41, and there is hereby levied upon
all the real and personal property within Salt Laim City, made
taxable by law for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1925, a
tax of eleven and 3/10 (11.3) mills on each dollar assessed
valuation of said property.
Said tax is hereby levied and to be raised far
the following purposes, and is and shall be apportioned to suckk
purposes in the following manner:
CONTINGENT EXPENSES
To defray contingent expenses four (4) mills on
each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
WATER SUPPLY AND WATERWORKS.
To purchase water sources, streams and the land
upon which said streams are appropriated and canals and to con-
struct waterworks and to supply water for irrigation and other
purposes one and two-tenths (1.2) of a mill on each dollar as-
sessed valuation of said property.
STREETS AND SIDEWALKS
To open, improve and repair streets and side-
walks three (3) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said
property.
SEWERS AND DRAINS.
To construct end repair sewers and drains one(1)
mill on each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
1 INTEREST ON BONDS AND SINKING FUND

For the payment of interest on outstanding bonds
and to constitute a sinking fund for the payment of the principal

of outstanding bonds one and seven-tenths (1.7) mills on each
dollar assessed valuation of said property.
PUBLIC LIBRARIES.
To maintain public libraries and free reading
rooms four-tenths (4/10) of a mill on each dollar assessed valua-
tion of said property.
It is necessary, in the opinion of the Board of
Commissioners, for the peace, health and safety of the inhabi-
tants of Salt Lake City, Utah, that this resolution take
effect upon its passage and an emergency is hereby declared to
exist so that said levy may be made and said tax collected as
required by law.
This resolution shall take effect upon its
adoption.
